Nne Ala SS 2017

This collection was inspired by the precolonial Igbo culture of Nigeria, which shows the people in their raw and unfiltered form of beauty.

Elements such as the dark skin, nudity, sculptures and mannerisms were taken into consideration throughout the design process, and then translated through the ready-to-wear, hand painted, bejewelled collection that is “Nne Ala” (Motherland), spring/ summer 2017.
